The DE110 supports SCSI Ultra320, Serial ATA (SATA) or Parallel ATA (PATA) Ultra ATA/133 drives and is downward-compatible with earlier-technology drives. The Data Express DE110 S/PATA receiving frame will support SATA 3Gb/s hard drives, but the universal bridge chip will not, however, negotiate at the 3Gb/s transfer rate. Many SATA 3Gb/s hard drives have a jumper that allows them to operate at 1.5 Gb/s. If support for legacy PATA drives is not a desired feature, please use the Data Express DE110 SATA 3Gb/s units for best performance."
