Cordyceps sinensis is a mushroom that has been used for centuries to support glucose metabolism, vascular health and renal function. Believed to have adaptogenic and tonic properties, cordyceps has also demonstrated specific support for healthy renal tubular cell metabolism and renal tubular cell membrane function. In other studies, cordyceps supported renal function as well as healthy T-lymphocyte activity and immune function. The cordyceps used in this formula contains beta glucans, arabinoxylanes and glycoproteins and is organically grown using a proprietary growing methodology. Astragalus membranaceus and Angelica sinensis, typically in combination, have revealed the ability to support healthy immune mediator gene expression to maintain healthy renal cortex and glomerular functions. The combination may also support healthy vascular function in the kidneys by supporting nitric oxide synthesis and free radical scavenging. Curcumin and quercetin provide targeted antioxidant support for healthy renal tissue.
