Uva Ursi (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi), also known asbearberry, is a low-lying evergreen shrub found inCanada, Europe, and Asia. It has been usedtraditionally as a diuretic, astringent and urinaryantiseptic for several hundred years.
One of the active components in it, arbutin, releaseshydroquinone, which can exhibit antibacterial activityin high doses, especially when urine is alkalinized.Other studies have indicated that uva ursi has antiallergicand anti-inflammatory properties. Studies thathave been done in rats have also shown an increase inthe animals urine output.

SUGGESTED USE
