A natural source product derived from soybean. Nine grams of pure PC or 10 softgels have been shown to double blood choline levels. Three grams will increase the choline levels by 50%; it is well recognized that PC ingestion will increase choline levels in the blood and brain and supplemental acetylcholine synthesis for prper neuronal and cell function.
In the absence of adequate choline in the blood stream, the ability of nerve cells to transmit messages to other cells across synapsis is impaired and neuronal cell membranes can be depleted of phosphatidylcholine (PC), causing cell damage. Phoschol brand PC, has been carefully developed to contain the highest concen- tration of PC without the other phosphatides found in commercially available lecithin of PC products.It is being studied in areas such as benign senescent memory loss, smell and taste disorders.
