Artist's Summary: This entry for the Bayho design contest is certainly one of opposites. The gun the little girl holds is a symbol of violence, while the butterflies and birds are symbols of tranquility and peace. The interpretation of this design is mostly up to the viewers. To some it may represent the cruel practices used over and over again by governments and groups that claim that conflict is necessary for peace. For others the design may reflect the notion that not all is what it seems.
