i think the nentendo dsi would be the best one because it has a bit more activitys on there. and you could always luck out like my friends son did.. they bought her dad a nentendo DSi and when he passed away they didnt know what to do with it so they just gave it to her son. haha but anyways they have those brain age games for the nentendo dsi which could be super helpful!

I think personally, what would be a great idea would be the Nintedo DSi XL. Essentially, it's the same as the Nintendo DSi, except it is larger. Larger screen and bigger system. It may also be able to connect to the television, which would be nice. However, I'm not 100% sure on that.

But a larger version of the DSi might be a good idea for a grandparent.

The Nintendo DSi XL would probably be a great idea. not only does it have a larger screen and it's larger in general, but it has a lot longer battery life, and it is the exact same thing as the DSi. I think it's the better system IMO. If you got to get them a Nintendo, get them either a Wii, or a DSi XL
