Default Who owns blue-ray?

I know its out there, I've seen it in stores. But who actually owns them? I mean everyone I know just buys DVDs. We have HD TV and just get HD DVDs. Are Blue rays that much better? And if so why don't more people own them? I know that movies seem to come out a day or so eariler on Blue-ray than on DVD, but I'm not willing to switch just for that. So who owns Blue rays and why??

I know someone who owns Blu-Ray.

Personally, Blu-Ray players have a LOT more space to have more content. Usually, with older movies, I would not think that Blu-Ray would be appropriate since there is no way to put in old movies in High-Def. However, new movies are great since you have the best quality film and the best quality disc to put it in. Personally, I think Blu-Ray was just pioneered for the PS3, but that's me.

Blu-rays are slowly on a come up. i can't remember what yaer they came out exactly but it didn't really tickle my pickle and made me jump up to get one. i mean my dvd player works fine. it doesn't have whatever megapix or whatever it is but at elast i can still enjoy my movie. maybe when my dvd player is broken i'll probably step it up a notch or if someone gives it to me as a gift.. but i'm good with my dvd player as of now =)

I don't know if this is true or not, but my dad told me that DVDs and Blue-Rays came out about the same time, but that the porn industry decided to use DVD instead of Blue Ray and thats why DVDs took off and Blue Rays didn't. Like I said I dont know if thats true, but it is funny either way. Personally, Like Zuri, I would wait until I got a Blue Ray player for a gift or my DVD player breaks and Blue Rays are on sale or something. Its not worth just going out and getting one.

I don't own a single Blu-Ray player or a PS3. I know someone who does, and it looks really good in comparison to DVDs and regular TVs....but I don't have a HD TV, so I don't see the point to get a new game system, or a new disc player....

So no, no Blu-Ray

the family whoms kids i babysit for have a HUGE hdtv with blu-ray player and i personally do not see much of a diffrence, it looks a bit brighter and less grainy but i dont think that its worth the money and i dont think i would buy a bluray player it takes longer when skipping chapeter and other things like menu options and when it first loads the disc.

I dont have Blue Ray. I just have a regular Dvd player and to be honest I dont even think I would know what a blue ray player if it was right in front of me and no one told me. I dont know if I have seen it before because I usually dont pay attention to that stuff but if I had I definitely didnt even know the difference.

Ha ha I dont know about the porn thing, but I do know that I dont use Blu ray. I dont see the huge difference that Id id whenI switched from tapes to DVDs. I think that its like people who want to look like they have money and wanna show it off with the "blu ray" bs
