Default at home mani pedi...

i am planning on doing my own nails and i am curious as to see what the rest of you use when doing your nails at home. i have heard to use peperment oils and it will soften up your skin so it is easy to push back the cuticals. and also to use hot water when doing it because that too also loosens up your skin. my one friend advised me to run a hot bath and basically do my nails n toes while in there soaking then when i get out then just polish them and they will look like i had them done in the salon.

Thats true. Actually I do my toes and feet and nails when im in the tub. I take one day a week and soak in the tub for a good hour or longer. Then I lather on the lotion and stuff after I get out. Then its into my pjs with a good movie and paint my toes and fingers. I look and feel great the next day =!

thats a great idea about soaking in the tub and doing your nails.. i like to file my nails and let me toes soak.. i have too much A.D.D to lay in the bath for that long... i get bored.. haha im like a little kid.. i take washable markers and i draw on the tub balls and the glass and everything.. i love it.. haha i come up with all kinds of creative designs... lol

if you have any extra money go to a place like tj max or norstroms rack.. they sale things that soften up your feet when you soak them.. it makes the skin around your toes super soft so you are able to clean them up and they look really good, i usually worrie about the chemicals but all u really need is a pumice stone, some relaxing food scrub/ and soak and then your all set to do your own nails.

I like the soaking and then doing your nails thing...never though of doing that. I think I'm going to buy those glue on nails and put some on again. I liked how they worked and they looked really cute when I did them...like if I went to the salon and got them done. I haven't been able to do that for awhile...money's been kindof tight since I have to buy my college textbooks...those things are so expensive!!!

screw those expensive nail salons. haha just kidding. but they can charge an arm and leg sometimes.. and i'm not really a arcylic person so painting my own nails is ideal for me. i usually do my nails when i get out of the shower.. file my nails.. push the cuticles back and just paint.. adding a base coat the nail polish and then a top coat. wait for it to try and waaaaalahhh!! save 20 bucks i could've spent on a mani and pedi

there's nothing better than doing your own mani/pedi. or at least in my opinion. personally, i'm not into the whole aryclic french tip thing.. just doesn't seem so clean to me. i mean it looks nice but just not my thing. i prefer just keeping my nails short and simple with some polish on it. plus, it definitely bets paying $20-30 for it!
