Designs for Health was found in 1989 with a local team of nutritionists focused on providing nutrition counseling services for the treatment of a variety of health conditions. The expressed desires of clinicians for further education in nutritional approaches to chronic diseases led Designs for Health to create advanced training courses.
Designs for Health Mission Statement:
To foster knowledge among health professionals and the public that natural therapies exist to prevent and treat a wide range of ailments, and to facilitate the integration of scientifically valid research supporting these therapies into clinical practice.
Next came the request for a line of nutritional supplements designed by healthcare professionals for healthcare professionals. Most important to these health providers was, and still is, quality ingredients, efficacious doses, and company integrity. To this day, Designs for Health nutritionally minded clinicians with ongoing clinical experiences that shape the direction of the company.
